This XLL contains functions for simple satellite orbit calculations.
- Solve Kepler's equation given orbital elements
- Models effects of EGM-96 J2 zonal gravitational constant
- Coordinate vectors includes 3D position, velocity, and acceleration
- Transform coordinate vector between seven coordinate systems
- Compute satellite motion relative to Ground Site
- Compute Ground Site motion given longitude, latitude, altitude, and Julian Day UT1
- Models WGS-84 Earth ellipsoid
- Compute ground antenna position, slew rate, and acceleration in both azimuth and elevation necessary to track the satellite
- Compute and plot satellite track in celestial coordinates
- Compute and plot satellite ground track
- Compute and plot range, range rate and elevation angle history
- Compute and plot range versus elevation angle
- Compute and plot Doppler Shift and Doppler Rate history
- Compute and plot Point-Ahead Angle and rate history
- Compute and plot relativistic effects: time dilation, red shift, eccentricity, and Sagnac
Example workbooks with plots are included.
